The US customs officers were very controlling at our port of entry in Atlanta, many people missed their connection flights. I was one of those. So I spent the night on 3 chairs in the airport.
In Los Angeles I found a comfortable Youth hostel. Did you know that they excist for more than 100 years? Mine was in Santa Monica, near the famous MUSCLE BEACH where the fitness boom was starting and the THIRD STREET with many small stores and street performances.

Other attractions: PIER (Forest Gump), end of the ROUTE 66, VENICE BEACH (Beach Boys; Baywatch).
