Downhill and up again for many times, we drove towards Nancy; a distance of 80 km. We marvelled about plants which like salty water and are only seen nearby the sea and about the former salt production in the town of Marsal.
After all, we found out that we had got lost. A bus driver explained us the right way. When she looked into our disappointed and tired faces, she said: „Get on the bus with your bikes! I have a break and drive you to the canal.“
Overjoyed we thanked her and cycled on nearly flat roads towards Nancy. There, the old center had a very nice atmosphere.
